1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: name, email address, and profile picture obtained via Manus OAuth when you sign in.
• Study content: reflections, notes, and journal entries you write within the app.
• Support communications: messages you send to support@biblelum.com.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, study progress (current day, streak, completed lessons), and timestamps.
• Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address, and referring URLs.
• Cookies and local storage: session tokens and preference data (see Section 7).

1.3 Payment Information

We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. All payment data is processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We receive only a transaction confirmation and a customer identifier from Stripe (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the BibleLum service.
• Personalize your study experience (track progress, streaks, and reflections).
• Process payments and manage your membership status.
• Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, service notices).
• Respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not use your study content (reflections, notes) to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. AI Reflection Processing

When you submit a reflection and request an AI response, BibleLum may send the reflection text to a third-party AI API provider solely to generate that response. We do not use your reflections, notes, or journal entries to train BibleLum's own AI models. We also do not sell your study content.

AI-generated responses are intended to support personal reflection and connect biblical themes to everyday life. They do not replace Scripture, church community, pastoral care, or theological authority.

4. Third-Party Sharing and Disclosure

We may also disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of LumHorizon LLC, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case the acquirer will be bound by this policy or provide equivalent protections).

5. Stripe Payment Processing

• Stripe may collect and process your name, email, billing address, and payment card information.
• Stripe's use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• We receive a Stripe customer ID and transaction status to activate or manage your membership.
• For subscription products, Stripe stores your payment method for recurring billing. You may update or remove your payment method at any time by contacting us at support@biblelum.com.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years). Aggregate, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection / Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
• Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
• California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@biblelum.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following types of cookies and local storage:

• Essential cookies: Session authentication tokens required for the service to function. These cannot be disabled.
• Preference storage: Browser local storage to save your study progress, theme preference, and UI state.
• Analytics cookies: Anonymized page-view tracking to understand aggregate usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is included.

You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the service.

9. Children's Privacy

BibleLum is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@biblelum.com and we will promptly delete such information.
